Abstract

Information recommendation system which can automatically recommend information about a video content to the viewer to which the video content is delivered. An information recommendation apparatus (100) includes a recommendation information management unit (106) for managing recommendation information to be recommended to viewer terminal devices (200-1 to 200-n). The information recommendation apparatus (100) analyzes the video content delivered to the viewer terminal devices (200-1 to 200-n) and obtains metadata on the video content. The information recommendation apparatus (100) analyzes recommendation information managed by the recommendation information management unit (106) and obtains metadata on the recommendation information. The information recommendation apparatus (100) compares the metadata on the video content with the metadata on the recommendation information, extracts the recommendation information that is similar to the metadata on the video content, and recommends the extracted recommendation information to the viewer terminal devices (200-1 to 200-n) to which the video content is delivered.
