Abstract

A saddle for stringed instrument being used in such a stringed instrument as vibration of a string is picked up by a piezoelectric element wherein the saddle and the piezoelectric element can sustain contact stably even when the saddle inclines due to tension of the string. The saddle (8) for stringed instrument has a planar member (9) forming the outer frame, and a piezoelectric element (15) for converting a vibration into an electric signal wherein the piezoelectric element (15) is provided in the external form member (9). Since the piezoelectric element (15) is provided internally, positional relation of the saddle (8) for stringed instrument and the piezoelectric element (15) is always invariant.
