Abstract

　例えばガラス素材による透明な基板１と、この基板上に形成された第１電極層（ＩＴＯ等による透明電極）２と、前記第１電極層上に形成された有機材料を含む発光機能層４と、前記発光機能層上に形成された第２電極層としての例えば金属素材による背面電極５とにより発光装置が形成されている。加えて前記第１電極層２上における一方の表面上に複数の第１補助電極３が備えられ、前記第２電極層上における一方の表面上に複数の第２補助電極６が備えられている。 　第１補助電極３は第１電極層２による電圧降下を低減させることができ、輝度傾斜の発生度合いを抑制させることができる。第２補助電極６は、第１補助電極３により発生する発光むらを抑制するように作用する。
