Abstract

Provided is an electric power steering device capable of suppressing the vibrations, which might otherwise be transmitted from a motor to an ECU, properly even in case the ECU and the motor are arranged close to each other. In a reduction gear box (4), there is mounted a control unit (19), which includes a control board (25), a power module board (23) and a protection cover (26). The power module board (23) is mounted directly on a control unit mounting face (20a) of the reduction gear box (4), and an electric motor (5) has its connection terminals connected directly with the control unit (19). On the maximum area face of the protection cover (26), moreover, there is mounted a vibration preventing member (26a), which acts as a vibration preventing mechanism for preventing the control unit (19) from resonating with the vibrations coming from the electric motor (5).
