Abstract

 熱処理後の軌道の旋削工程や研削工程において、旋削工具や研削工具が欠けたり軌道が損傷したりするのを防止することができる自動調心軸受の外輪の製造方法を提供する。 環状素材を旋削してブランク(12)を形成し、該ブランク(12)に油孔(7)を形成した後、熱処理前において、外輪(2)の軌道(2a)の油孔(7)に対応する部分に環状溝(2b)を形成して、熱処理後の軌道(2a)の旋削工程又は研削工程において油孔(7)により断続切削又は断続研削が生じるのを回避した。
