Abstract

 複数の記録層を有する多層光記録媒体の製造方法であり、少なくとも1つの記録領域を有する光記録媒体を用意するステップと、前記記録領域に予め書込み位置マーク群を記録する書込み位置マーク生成ステップと、前記記録領域の厚み方向における異なる位置においてデータ記録ビームおよび位置マーク記録ビームを集光する共通の対物レンズを含む光学系を用意するステップと、前記データ記録ビームによって前記書込み位置マークを追尾しつつ前記書込み位置マークの間にデータを書き込む第1のデータ書込みステップと、前記第1のデータ書込みステップに並行して前記位置マーク記録ビームによって前記記録領域に新たな書込み位置マークを記録する位置マーク記録ステップと、前記データ記録ビームによって前記新たな書込み位置マークを追尾しつつ前記新たな書込み位置マークの間にデータを書き込む第2のデータ書込みステップと、を含む。
