Abstract

A cutting device includes a first lever arm having a cutting blade attached to a distal end of the first lever arm and a second lever arm, having a support element with a supporting surface attached to a distal end of the second lever arm. The lever arms cross one another and are interconnected by a rigid elongated connecting member having two ends. One end is pivotally connected to the first lever arm and the other end is pivotally connected to the second lever arm, allowing relative shear motion between the blade and the support element, and also allowing sawing motion of the blade relative to the support element, when the distal ends of the arms are gripped and pressed against each other.
