Abstract

　タグを用いて歩行者の移動を支援する歩行者支援システムである。この歩行者支援システムは、移動経路上空に張り巡らされているケーブルに配置される情報格納部を備えた複数のタグ、歩道を移動する歩行者が所持し、タグとの非接触通信が可能なガイド装置、タグマップ情報が記録されたデータベースを備え、該タグマップ情報を用いて出発地から目的地までの経路に沿って存在するタグのタグIDを順番に有する経路情報を作成して直接、あるいは間接的にガイド装置に設定する中央管制装置を備えている。ガイド装置はタグよりタグIDを読み取り、該タグIDと経路情報が有するタグIDとを照合して経路上のどの地点を歩行しているか識別し、該経路情報に基づいて歩行者の歩行を支援する情報 (進行方向)を提示する。
