Abstract
本発明は、MPUとDSPの双方を備えた電子機器、および、MPUとDSPの双方を備えた電子機器内で実行されてMPUとDSPに負荷を分散させる負荷分散プログラムに関し、新たなハードウェアを追加する必要がなく、かつ電力消費をできるだけ抑えつつ処理能力を高めることを目的とし、DSPでの処理用にコーディングされて搭載されているDSP用アプリケーションのうちの今から実行すべきDSP用アプリケーションと、クロック生成部から現在出力されているクロックの周波数とに基づいて、DSPの負荷を予測し、予測された負荷に応じて、今から実行すべきDSP用アプリケーションの一部の処理をMPUに振り分けてその一部の処理をMPUに実行させる。
