 コンテンツデータを含む第1形式のビットストリーム(V)を、第2形式のビットストリーム(S)へ変換するビットストリーム変換装置(1)は、第1形式のビットストリーム(V)を時系列的に分割して複数の第1形式の分割ビットストリーム(V1,V2,Vn)にする分割部(10)と、複数の第1形式の分割ビットストリーム(V1,V2,Vn)を、複数の第2形式の分割ビットストリーム(S1,S2,Sn)へそれぞれ変換する複数の変換部(20a,20b,20n)と、複数の第2形式の分割ビットストリーム(S1,S2,Sn)を相互に結合する結合部(30)と、を備える。
