Abstract

An electronic equipment mounting rack (12) has, in addition to conventional horizontal mounting space (17), a vertical mounting space (23). Additional rack mount equipment can be received in the vertical mounting space (23). The electronic equipment mounting rack (23) can simply receive more pieces of rack mount equipment than conventionally possible. There is no need to buy additional racks. In the vertical mounting space (23), rack mount equipment is vertically positioned. An increase in the lateral width of the electronic equipment mounting rack (12) can be avoided as much as possible. Preferably, a pair of vertical mounting spaces (23) is placed next to both side faces of the horizontal mounting space (17).
