Abstract

The invention relates to a mechanism for the synchronous adjustment of the tilting tension of a seat, the back being pivotally mounted on a holder located under the seating area of the seat above the base, an adjustable return means being provided between said holder and said back. The mechanism includes: at least one pulling spring (3) preset at at least one minimum predetermined tension; at least one compression spring (2) having an adjustable stroke; said springs (2, 3) applying a combined action onto the back in order to counteract the tilting thereof.
