Abstract

 本発明は、次の式(1a)及び/又は(1b) で表される化合物を基質として微生物変換により得られる培養液を、目開き10~100μmのフィルターを用いて濾過し、水或いはSP値8.3~20(cal/cm3)1/2以外の溶剤で洗浄した後、得られたケークをSP値8.3~20(cal/cm3)1/2の溶剤に溶解し、次いで濾過或いは遠心分離することを特徴とする式(2) で表されるジオール体の製造方法に関する。  本発明によれば、3a,6,6,9a-テトラメチルドデカヒドロナフト[2,1-b]フランの製造中間体として有用な1-(2-ヒドロキシエチル)-2,5,5,8a-テトラメチルデカヒドロナフタレン-2-オールを高純度で効率よく製造することができる。
