Abstract

A moving handrail of man conveyor having a core member molded from a thermoplastic elastomer material, fitted with a strip-shaped tensile member, wherein the stress applied to the tensile member in junction area is markedly reduced. Accordingly, there is provided a moving handrail comprising a ring-like core member molded from a thermoplastic elastomer material and, disposed thereinside, a tensile member, wherein a thin elastic layer is disposed between one side face of one end portion and other side face of other end portion of strip-shaped tensile member. This elastic layer is fixed to both the one side face of one end portion and other side face of other end portion of the tensile member, and makes an elastic deformation in accordance with the deformation of each of the end portions of the tensile member.
