Abstract

A video contents reproducing method and its system are provided for making it possible to carry out such a flexible reproducing form as a concurrent view of the same video contents. The video contents reproducing method and its system include a plurality of video contents recording devices for recording video contents and at least one viewing terminal device for taking the recorded video contents through a communication network and reproducing them. A contents managing server holds contents attribute information of the recorded video contents associated with the video contents recording device which records the video contents whenever the video contents are recorded. The contents managing server searches such video contents with contents attributes as designated by a viewing request from the video contents attribute information in response to the viewing request from a viewing terminal device and identifies the video contents recording device corresponding to the searched contents attribute information. The identified video contents recording device directly supplies the designated video contents to the viewing terminal device.
