Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for synthesizing (meth)acrylic ester monomers comprising a polyhalophenyl function, more particularly to polyhalophenoxyalkyl (meth)acrylates of formula (I) in which R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical, R2 is a linear or branched alkylene radical containing from 2 to 20 carbon atoms, Rβ is a halogen and n is an integer ranging from 1 to 3. These monomers can be used as polymerizable plasticizers or as comonomers for preparing polymers in the optical data storage field.
