Abstract

Disclosed is an optical film (20) comprising an alignment film (10) and a coating layer (11) formed on the alignment film (10). The alignment film (10) contains a polymer having a structural unit derived from a polyvalent amine compound having at least two amino groups and at least one olefinically unsaturated bond. The coating layer (11) is a birefringent layer containing a structural unit derived from a polymerizable liquid crystal compound.
