Abstract

An electric compressor provided with an integral inverter, having, provided in a receiving space surrounded by a compressor housing, a motor drive circuit that incorporates a motor and includes the inverter. At least some of electric parts including the motor drive circuit are coated in an assembled state with a resin that is placed in the receiving space. The shape of the placed resin is defined in the receiving space by a jig used in resin placement and defining a space in which the resin is placed. In the structure of a resin coating section such as the motor drive circuit, the amount of resin placed is significantly reduced and the entire compressor is reduced in weight and cost.
