Definitions
- the present invention belongs to the field of soaps, more specifically to the field of soaps with additives.
- Said additives will be comprised in a second element, which will be formulated with a second chemically treated grease in a different way.
- any added additive that the tablets may present is integrated in the tablet itself, it is not possible to differentiate the soapy compound from that added additive with a higher added value.
- the invention relates to a bar of soap.
- Said bar of soap comprises a first soap element with a first outer surface.
- the tablet comprises at least a second element with a second outer surface. Both surfaces exterior, the first of the first element and the second of the second element, are encompassed in the outer surface of the soap bar.
- a tablet thus described includes, therefore, a first soap element, which performs the functions of the soap bar, which are cleaning or washing. Additionally, the soap bar includes at least a second element, the function of which will not be purely cleaning. Said second element will give the bar of soap a greater added value.
- composition of this second element comprises a glycerin soap and additives.
- composition of the glycerin soap may be the following (the percentages are by weight of the second element or glycerin soap):
- the additives in general can be chosen from among the additives conventionally used in the manufacture of soap bars.
- the additives and their quantity can be determined by a person skilled in the art depending on the desired properties of the soap bar.
- Examples of the additives include quaternized silicones, fragrances, pyrogenic phosphates, enzymes and mixtures thereof.
- the fragrance comprises concentrations between 3 and 5% by weight with respect to the total weight of the second element.
- concentration of fragrance is usually between 0.5-1%. Higher concentrations in a traditional soap would cause a change in the rheological properties thereof and the product would lose its hardness, viscosity, wear resistance, among other properties.
- the fact that the fragrance is present in this high proportion is due to the fact that the fragrance is not included in the first element, but in the second element, which has a composition that allows said high concentration without impairing its properties.
- the rate of consumption of the first element, the soap itself, will mark the rate at which the second element will be spent and therefore the rate of release of the fragrance.
- the fragrance can comprise one or more phenolic compounds, capable of acting in all three areas of bad smell (physical, chemical and microbiological) due to its antibacterial activity. This technology is described in the Spanish patent application P200502116 of the same owner as the present application.
- Another additive may be pyrogenic phosphates that act at the level of surface tension allowing dirt to more easily detach from the tissue. Its concentration in the second element will be between 1 and 3% by weight of said second element.
- Another additive are enzymes that, during their decomposition by contact with water and the difference in pH, once released, will have the ability to generate oxygen or chlorine during the washing process, thus producing a bleaching effect.
- Said enzymes may be amylase or protease, with a concentration between 0.15 and 0.30% by weight.
- the second element will be visible at all times from the outside, since its outer surface will be, like the outer surface of the first element, encompassed on the outer surface of the soap bar.
- the soap bar may in principle have any shape and size, for example, substantially cylindrical, prismatic, cubic, spherical or ellipsoidal shapes, among others.
- the outer surface of the second element preferably, will be contained in the surfaces of the two bases of the soap bar.
- the second element may have, for example, shapes such as substantially cylindrical, with a circular, rectangular or Greek cross-shaped base, that is, with all equal arms.
- the two ends of the rectangle or the four of the cross may be in contact with the outer surface of the soap bar, being, in In any case, the base of the cylinder contained in the outer surface of the soap bar.

- FIG. 1A shows a bar of soap (1) of circular section in which a second element (3) is located on its axis.
- the bar of soap (1) has a cylindrical shape.
- the first soap element (2) defines said cylindrical shape and the second element (4) is located inside. This is arranged in such a way that the outer surface (5) of its two ends are located in the bases of the cylinder, so that being the soap bar (1) used, the additive contained in the second element is always released (4).
- the additives that the second element may contain in a particular embodiment are selected from the group consisting of quaternized silicones, pyrogenic phosphates, enzymes, fragrances and mixtures thereof.
- the concentrations of these elements will be between 0.20 and 0.50%, between 1 and 3%, between 0.15 and 0.30% and between 3 and 5%, respectively.
- An alternative embodiment to this could be that in which there is a plurality of second elements (4) within the soap bar (1). This last embodiment is not reflected in the figures.
- Figure 2A shows a second embodiment in which the second element (4) has a substantially flat shape. This shape has in its middle zone a cylinder with flat extensions in both directions of a diameter. This embodiment expands the contact area of the second element (4) with the clothes or skin to be washed.
- Figure 2B shows the exterior appearance of a bar of soap (1) made in accordance with this second embodiment.
- Figure 3A shows a third embodiment in which the second element (4) has a substantially Greek cross shape, that is, with all the same arms. This shape has in its middle zone a cylinder with flat extensions in both directions of two perpendicular diameters. This embodiment further extends the contact area of the second element with the clothes or skin to be washed.
- Figure 2B shows the appearance outside of a bar of soap made in accordance with this second embodiment.
