Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système visant à fournir du contenu multimédia à un utilisateur, l'objer de l'invetion étant d'améliorer l'expérience de l'utilisateur. Le contenu multimédia est délivré par un réseau de données numériques d'une source de contenu multimédia au terminal récepteur multimédia de l'utilisateur, et des métadonnées relatives à des informations concernant le contenu multimédia provenant d'au moins une source de métadonnées sont annexées au contenu multimédia. Selon l'invention, le procédé consiste à faire spécifier par l'utilisateur des préférences personnalisées relativement au contenu et/ou aux événements qui l'intéressent, à sélectionner des métadonnées qui correspondent aux préférences spécifiées par l'utilisateur, et à transmettre les métadonnées sélectionnées au terminal d'utilisateur.
