Abstract

 本発明の課題は、リン光性有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子において、フルカラーディスプレイを完成させるために重要である440nm以下の深青色領域にエレクトロルミネッセンスによる発光ピークを実現させることが可能な素子を製造することにある。本発明の課題は、一対の電極間に発光層もしくは発光層を含む複数の有機化合物薄層が形成された有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、波長440nm以下のリン光エレクトロルミネッセンス発光ピークを有することを特徴とし、更に440nm以下の深青色領域にリン光エレクトロルミネッセンス発光ピーク極大を有し、発光色が国際照明委員会(CIE)表色系でy座標が0.180未満であることを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子によって解決される。
