Abstract
A near field communication device in which a decrease in an effective transmission rate can be prevented to make stable communication is provided. The near field communication device transmits an acknowledgment signal (ACK) with respect to a data request signal, receives a propagation environment measuring signal for measuring a communication environment for each predetermined period, and calculates the propagation time required for communication with other near field communication devices on the basis of the required time from the transmission of the ACK to the reception of an initial propagation environment measuring signal. The near field communication device determines a section causing signal strength to be decreased in a transmission frame including transmission data and decreases the signal strength in the decrease section to transmit the transmission frame on the basis of the propagation environment measuring signal and the propagation time.
