Abstract

L'invention concerne un boîtier (1) qui assure la protection environnementale et physique d'un enregistreur vidéo personnel PVR (2). Le PVR (2) peut être inséré dans le boîtier (1) ou retiré de celui-ci au moyen d'un couvercle (3) pouvant être attaché. Lorsqu'il est fermé, le boîtier (1) permet au PVR (2) de recevoir des signaux audio et vidéo (7) externes au moyen d'un connecteur (5) externe, les signaux étant acheminés vers la prise d'entrée audio et vidéo (A/V-in) (10) sur le PVR (2) au moyen d'une ou de plusieurs connexions électriques (8). Le boîtier fournit un procédé de commande du PVR (2) au moyen d'une électronique de commande à distance sans fil (19, 20, 21) et (24) intégrée activée par des boutons (18) externes sur le boîtier (1). Le boîtier (1) peut également comporter un microphone (15) intégré pour fournir un signal audio (17) qui est transféré à la prise A/V-in (10) sur le PVR (2). Si le PVR (2) est capable de fournir une puissance (12) externe, le connecteur (5) externe peut l'acheminer pour une utilisation pour alimenter un dispositif (4) externe connecté. Le boîtier (1) peut également comprendre une fenêtre d'observation (28) à travers laquelle l'écran du PVR (2) peut être observé. Le boîtier (1) comporte au moins une structure (27) pour permettre le passage d'une lanière (26) qui est utilisée pour fixer le boîtier (1) à une partie du corps ou de l'équipement.
