Abstract
In a picture building process that creates new pixel values from existing pixel values in using motion vectors associated with an existing image, holes can appear. By up-sampling the output of a lower spatial resolution picture building process, a pixel value can be generated to fill the hole. There may be a hierarchy of successively lower resolution picture building process, each used if the process above leaves a hole.
