Abstract
A refrigerating plant (1), in which a refrigerant circulates in a circuit and which comprises a first heat exchanger (6) in order to extract heat from the refrigerant. The first heat exchanger (6) can be operated as gas cooler or liquefier and the refrigerating plant (1) comprises an accumulator valve (18) downstream of the first heat exchanger (6) in the direction of flow of the refrigerant, said valve being able to control the pressure in the first heat exchanger (6). The pressure in the first heat exchanger (6) can be advantageously controlled with the accumulator valve (18), so that a particularly favourable coefficient of performance is attained in the gas cooling mode and the pressure in the liquefaction mode does not fall below a minimum liquefaction pressure.
