Abstract
Provided is an imprinting method, which can easily peel a molded piece of a thin plate shape sticking at a peeling time to a mold surface, thereby to improve the throughput. In the imprinting method, a mold (1) having a pattern formed on its surface is pushed onto the surface of a molded piece (2) of a resin having a thin plate shape, by moving the mold (1) and the molded piece (2) relative to each other, thereby to transfer the pattern of the surface of the mold (1) to the surface of the molded piece (2). After this, an out-transfer region (21) of the molded piece (2) is held by a holding member (4), when the molded piece (2) sticking to the surface of the mold (1) is to be parted. The mold (1) and the holding member (4) are moved relative to each other in a direction for the holding member (4) to leave the surface of the mold (1), thereby to peel the molded piece (2) from the surface of the mold (1).
