Abstract

The method provides for an e-mail not to be sent in star form from a sender to each of a plurality of recipients but rather to be routed consecutively through the recipients on a list of recipients. Any recipient can revise the e-mail or an attachment to it and forward the revised version to the next recipient. Finally, the e-mail with multiple revisions is returned to the sender.

Description

The invention relates to a method for facilitating the processing of e-mails to multiple recipients with automatic dispatch by a sender.

Emails contain headers with the following information: From :, Sent :, To :, Cc :, Subject:. The specification after "From:" contains the sender's e-mail address or name, the message "Sent:" contains the date and time of despatch. The specification "To:" contains the e-mail address of one or more addressees, the specification "Cc:" contains the e-mail address of addressees who receive a copy of the e-mail (copy recipient) and the indication "Subject:" contains the subject of the e-mail. In the context of the present description, both the addressees (behind the indication "To:") and the copy recipients (behind the indication "Cc:") are referred to as recipients.

The software for the transmission of e-mails is implemented in the PCs of the participants. The sender PC first addresses an e-mail to the addressee (s) and then to the specified copy recipients. In this case, the communication of the dispatcher PC initially takes place with a server that establishes the connection to the Internet and forwards the e-mail to the recipients. Conventional e-mailing is thus carried out in such a way that all recipients (addressee and copy recipient) receive the same e-mail in succession. The e-mail is sent to the receiver in a star shape, but with a time delay.

When a draft of a document is sent with the e-mail, e.g. For example, as an attachment to the e-mail, any recipient can revise the draft and send it back to the sender as part of a reply e-mail. When a design is submitted to a number of recipients, the design is processed by each recipient and returned to the sender, with the result that the revisions of the recipients are not reconciled. It is then a difficult task for the consignor to coordinate all the revised designs in order to produce the final version.

The invention has for its object to provide a method for enabling the processing of e-mails or their attachments, which facilitates the coordination of different design revisions.

The inventive method is designated by the patent claim 1. It provides the following steps: a) at the sender: creating an e-mail and a list of recipients,

b) am Versender: Automatisches Adressieren der E-Mail an nur einen ersten Empfänger der Empfängerliste,b) at the sender: automatic addressing of the e-mail to only a first recipient of the recipient list,

c) an jedem Empfänger: Ermittlung des auf der Empfängerliste nächstfolgenden Empfängers und Adressierung an diesen,(c) at each consignee: identification of the addressee next to the consignee list and addressing to it,

d) an mindestens einem Empfänger, der die an ihn adressierte E-Mail empfangen hat: Manuelles Modifizieren der E-Mail,d) at least one recipient who has received the e-mail addressed to him / her: manually modifying the e-mail,

e) automatisches Adressieren der ein- oder mehrfachmodifizierten E- Mail an den Versender durch den letzten Empfänger der Empfängerliste.e) automatic addressing of the single or multiple modified e-mail to the sender by the last recipient of the recipient list.

In this case, a draft can be sent consecutively to all recipients, each recipient containing the draft revised from its predecessors. As the transfer from recipient to recipient increases, the draft "matures", eventually returning to the sender in a version revised by all recipients. This saves a lot of adaptation work for the consignor and the unnecessary duplication of work for the consignee, so that errors corrected by one of the recipients no longer have to be corrected by the next recipient.

In the context of the invention, the term "sender" and "recipient" does not mean the respective person but, as a rule, the PC in question. Participation in the inventive method requires that each of the participating PCs has appropriate software that differs from the usual e-mail software with central or star-shaped dispatch by the sender and a chain-like dispatch of one receiver only to each next recipient. In the following an embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the single FIGURE of the drawing.

The drawing shows a schematic diagram of the transmission of an e-mail over the Internet from the sender to several recipients.

The drawing shows the internet. Access to the Internet is made possible by servers. In the present case, the servers 1 and the servers 2 are shown as an example. V is the sender or sender PC that communicates with the server 1. Also to the server 1, the receiver El is connected. The receivers E2... En are connected to the Internet via the server 2.

An e-mail attached to a draft will be sent by shipper V. The recipients El ... En are specified on a recipient list.

Die Reihenfolge ist in der nachfolgenden Tabelle dargestellt:The sender V sends the e-mail exclusively to the first recipient El of the recipient list. At the recipient El, the e-mail can be processed and then forwarded. The reshuffling takes place to the recipient E2 next to the recipient list. When finally the last receiver En is reached in this way, it returns the multi-revised draft to the sender V. The order is shown in the following table:

V: Sende an ElV: Send to El

El : Sende an E2El: Send to E2

En: Send back to V. From each participant (sender or recipient), the e-mail is sent to a single addressee, with the order of the addressee by the recipient list that is transmitted with, is given.
