Abstract
The invention relates to a method for supplying natural gas, especially natural gas used for filling up vehicles. According to the invention, at least one constituent which reduces the freezing point and/or stabilises the ignition pressure is mixed with the natural gas. Methanol, ethanol or a mixture of methanol and ethanol is preferably mixed with the natural gas. The content of the constituents added to the natural gas is between 1 and 1000 ppm, especially between 5 and 500 ppm.
