Definitions
- the invention relates to a fitting for detachable securing to at least one stationary body part with at least one built-in one-way valve, said one-way valve is not opened until the moment the fitting is installed; the fitting is equipped with at least one release member for activating the one-way valve.
- DE 29516157 U1 discloses a sanitary fitting for detachable securing to a fixed body part.
- the body part is equipped with two one-way valves, one for hot water and one for cold water.
- Each one-way valve holds a ball which, due to water pressure, is pressed upwards and blocks the outflow passage.
- the sanitary fitting is installed the balls are pressed downwards and thus they open for the water flow.
- the sanitary fitting is inexpedient in many ways.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a releasable faucet or fitting, which is significantly more reliable than hitherto known and which do not cause an unnecessary drop in pressure.
- a faucet of the above type is characterised by being equipped with at least one release member for activation of the one-way valve.
- the release member is downwardly pointed and includes preferably a plurality of relatively large openings. As a result, turbulent flows are avoided, which might otherwise cause a drop in pressure.
- a fixed ceramic washer can be fitted to the cartridge body, said fixed ceramic washer has two oblong circular openings on top as well as a possible additional opening for feeding back mixed water.
- a pivotal and shiftable ceramic washer can be fitted to the top of the fixed ceramic washer, said pivotal and shiftable ceramic washer performs the function of temperature control and volume control respectively.
- the pivotal and shiftable ceramic valve may have a keyhole- shaped opening, a shifting of said ceramic valve providing the function of volume con- trol and a pivoting providing the function of temperature control.
- Fig. 1 shows a faucet to be releasably secured in a fixedly mounted base body part in a tabletop.
- Fig. 2 shows the body part including a one-way valve, which is activated at the moment the faucet is mounted in said body parts.

- Fig. 14 a fitting with an extractable spout in connection with a flexible hose to be used in connection with the base body part shown in Fig. 13b.
- the faucet of Fig. 1 is to be used for feeding either cold or hot water.
- the faucet includes a swivel tap 1 , which can be pressed downwards by means of a spindle 2 with a gasket optionally a rubber gasket and a valve seat by a turning of the swivel tap 1 and the associated spindle 2.
- the faucet includes a release member 4.
- the faucet with the release member 4 is to be mounted in a base body part 6, cf. Fig. 2, mounted in a tabletop.
- a one-way valve 7 is built-in in this base body part 6, which substantially is circular and includes circular through-going opening in the middle.
- the faucet is secured to the base body part by means of a clamping screw placed in the side of the faucet.
- the release member 4 is downwardly pointed and includes a plurality of relatively large through-going openings 4a serving to ensure the best possible flow without turbulence, since turbulence might otherwise cause an undesirable drop in pressure in the faucet.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment includes four openings, which extend substantially axially. Each opening has a diameter of approx. five mm. As a result the best possible flow is achieved and at the same time flow is as laminar as possible.
- a rubber packing ring is placed in the circumferential groove 4b, cf. Fig. 4, in order to avoid an undesired outflow of water during the mounting/demounting of a faucet at the moment the one-way valve is opened or at demounting before the one-way valve is closed, but before the mounting of the faucet is completed or at demounting before the one-way valve is closed.
- the release member is preferably shaped such that it can be screwed upwards into the body part of the faucet. Then a gripping means allows the through-going openings 4a to be utilized such that they carry out the screwing movement for screwing in the release member 4.
- the circular top side of the release member can advantageously form the seat of the valve spindle 2.
- a plurality of one-way valves can be built in the base body part 6, cf. Fig. 5 - viz. a one-way valve for hot water and a one-way valve for cold water, as a release member for activating the one-way valve for hot water, and a release member for the one-way valve for cold water are included in the faucet.
- two base body parts 6', 6" are provided at mu- tually fixed intervals, viz. one for cold water and one for hot water.
- Fig. 6 Such an embodiment is shown in Fig. 6.
- this embodiment includes two upwardly inclining faucet parts 8', 8" with through-going openings, cf. Fig. 7 showing a longitudinal view of one of said faucet parts.
- Each faucet part is terminated by an additional one-way valve 10, which opens at the mounting moment of an additional faucet part with a release member substantially corresponding to the faucet shown in Fig. 1. The only significant difference compared to the faucet shown in Fig.
- This modularly structured mixing faucet is particularly suitable for mounting on bath tubs.
- the parts of the faucet can be integrally made.
- such an embodiment presupposes a well-defined distance between the body parts for the cold and hot water, respectively.
- a sanitary fitting for detachable securing to the base body part has been provided for the stationary base body part shown in Fig. 8.
- Fig. 11 shows an example of such a fitting whereas figures 9a and 9b show the inner parts of the fitting seen sideways and in perspective respectively.
- the fitting is equipped with two release tips 14, 15, one release tip for hot water intake and one release tip for cold water intake.
- Fig. 10 shows a picture breaking down the inner part of the fitting.
- the release tips 14, 15 have four through holes 17 which are substantially vertical.
- the holes 17 in the release tips 14, 15 are connected to a cartridge-like body 118 with at least two through holes for admit- ting cold and hot water respectively. Rubber gaskets 111 with embedded springs have been incorporated in the through holes 19, 110.
- a fixed ceramic washer 112 has been affixed on top of the cartridge-like body 118, said ceramic washer has two oblong circular openings 113, 114 which are connected to openings 19, 110 in the cartridge-like body 18 which yields cold and hot water respectively.
