Definitions

  • sandals, espadrilles and similar footwear have consisted of a platform on which (strips or glued) strips of fabric or leather that cover the instep of the foot are mounted and correspond to what, in all types of shoes, is called cut or roll.

  • soles for espadrilles have consisted of one or several layers of braided vegetable fiber. Finally, on the composite sole that results from joining the warp with the synthetic layer, the cut or stitching is sewn (if the espadrille covers the instep) or, if applicable, tapes that fit the foot (if the espadrille is discovered).
