Abstract

The invention provides for a locking device (10) that includes at least one bracket (12) shaped and dimensioned to be releasably attachable to a part of a container, a shank (14) receivable through an aperture (16) defined by a surface (18) of the bracket (12), wherein the bracket (12) is rendered releasably attachable to the part of the container when the shank (14) is passed through the aperture (16); and securing means (20) for securing the shank (14) relative the bracket (12), thereby to inhibit the unauthorized removal of the shank (14) from the bracket (12) and bracket (12) from the container.
