Abstract

La présente invention concerne une couche de réseau de fibres utilisée pour des articles résistants à la pénétration. Cette couche présente une première pluralité de fils et une deuxième pluralité de fils, chacun des premiers et des deuxièmes fils étant orientés dans une première direction parallèle ou sensiblement parallèle aux autres premiers et deuxièmes fils, ainsi qu'une troisième pluralité de fils, chacun des troisièmes fils étant orienté dans une seconde direction parallèle ou sensiblement parallèle aux autres troisièmes fils. La seconde direction est transversale à la première direction. Les troisièmes fils et les premiers ou les deuxièmes fils sont constitués d'un premier polymère. Les premiers, les deuxièmes et les troisièmes fils présentent une ténacité d'au moins 15 g/dtex. Les couches sont conçues au choix (i) de manière que les deuxièmes fils sont constitués d'un second polymère, différent du premier polymère, (ii) de manière que les premiers fils présentent une densité linéaire moyenne différente de celle des deuxièmes fils, (iii) de manière que les premiers et les deuxièmes fils comprennent des multifilaments constitués de filaments et que les filaments des premiers fils présentent une densité linéaire moyenne différente de celle des deuxièmes fils ou (iv) de manière à répondre à des combinaisons de ces caractéristiques.
