Abstract

 燃料電池をエネルギー源として備え、エネルギー密度が大きいばかりでなく、出力密度も大きく、簡易な手段で激しい消費電力の変動に対応できる電源システムを提供すること。電源システム10では、DC/DCコンバータ2の入力端子に燃料電池1を接続し、出力端子にリチウムイオン二次電池3と負荷4を並列に接続する。二次電池3の端子電圧を測定する電圧測定装置6と、コンバータ2の目標出力電圧を設定する制御用マイクロコンピュータ5を設け、目標出力電圧を上記端子電圧よりわずかに高く設定する。燃料電池1は燃料変換効率が最もよい発電条件内で運転する。このようにすると、燃料電池1とコンバータ2からなる系は、燃料電池1が発電した電力を、二次電池3の端子電圧に等しい電圧で出力する定電圧電流源のように機能する。この出力電流と負荷4を駆動する電流との過不足分は、二次電池3の充放電によって自動的に調整される。
