Abstract

 情報記録媒体の記録層に照射するレーザ光の出力波形を特定するための記録ストラテジを、以下の記録ストラテジ調整方法で調整する。ここにおいて、その記録ストラテジ調整方法は、基本となる記録ストラテジを決定するベースストラテジ決定ステップと、ベースストラテジ決定ステップの後に、情報記録媒体の記録層に形成されるパターン列における最短マークを特定し、最短マークを記録するためのパルスであるトップパルスの幅を設定する第1のトップパルス幅設定ステップと、記録パワーとバイアスパワーを含む記録時パワーを調整する記録時パワー調整ステップとを含む。
