Abstract

The invention relates to a medical bed (1) including a base (2) bearing on the ground, and a lying plane (3) held by said base and including a back (4), a seat (5) and a leg rest (6), said bed being characterised in that it comprises: reversible connection means (20) for alternatively adopting an association configuration, in which they define a mechanical connection (21) between the seat (5) and the leg rest (6), and a dissociation configuration in which said mechanical connection (21) is interrupted, and side displacement means (22) for laterally and rotatingly displacing the seat (5) relative to the leg rest (6) when the reversible connection means (20) are in the dissociation configuration in order to provide a front access to said seat (5).
