Abstract
この車輪用軸受装置は、外方部材1と内方部材2の対向する軌道面3,4間に複列の転動体5が介在する。内方部材2は、ハブ輪9とそのインボード側部の外周に嵌合した内輪10とでなる。内輪10のインボード側端部の内周縁に環状の段差部16を設け、かつハブ輪9のインボード側端部に、内輪10の段差部16の軸方向に向く傾斜面16aに係合する加締部9bを設ける。この加締部9bは、加締加工前には円筒状である前記ハブ輪9のインボード側端部の塑性変形部分を、その内周に加締パンチをインボード側から押し込むことにより拡径状態に加締めたものとする。加締パンチを押し込む際に、塑性変形部分のインボード側端の内径の変化量を設定範囲内とすることで、加締部9bの外径側への盛上り量Dを規制する。または、塑性変形部分のテーパ状内周面の最大内径を設定範囲内とすることで、加締部9bの外径側への盛上り量Dを規制する。
