Abstract

A mold forming apparatus for ophthalmic lens with novel structure that attains high-precision axial alignment for an anterior surface forming die and a posterior surface forming die and thus excellent machining accuracy. There is provided an apparatus comprising first jig (12) for supporting of anterior surface forming die (16) and second jig (14) for supporting of posterior surface forming die (18) and further comprising, in the first jig (12), receiver member (20) for supporting of the first jig (12) and core adjusting means (28) for permitting relative displacement of the first jig (12) from the receiver member (20) in the direction approximately orthogonal to die matching direction.
