Abstract

 フライアッシュの性状に合わせて未燃カーボンを効率的に分離する。  フライアッシュaに水cを加えてスラリーdを生成するスラリー調製槽10と、前記スラリーdに捕集剤eを添加する捕集剤添加装置20と、捕集剤添加後のスラリーを高速攪拌して剪断力を付与することにより、当該スラリー中の未燃カーボンbの表面に捕集剤eに付着させる竪型の表面改質装置30と、該表面改質装置によって表面改質されたスラリーd' に起泡剤fを添加する調整槽60と、起泡剤添加後のスラリーから気泡nとともに未燃カーボンbを浮選して分離する浮選機70とから成る。
