Abstract

Dans une bande de protection d'arête (1) pour la protection des bords de vitrages composites, en particulier, de vitres de protection contre l'incendie, la bande de protection d'arête étant constituée de plusieurs couches, avec une couche d'adhésif (3) recouverte d'un papier siliconé (2) pour fixation sur l'arête d'une vitre et d'une feuille glissante (4) tournée vers l'extérieure à l'état d'utilisation, les arêtes en bordure, c'est-à-dire dans ce cas la bande de protection d'arête, doivent être conçues de façon à résister autant que possible aux particules de saleté ou similaires tout en augmentant en même temps la capacité de glissement des bords pendant l'assemblage des vitres. On y parvient par le fait que la bande glissante (4) tournée vers l'extérieur est une bande glissante en polyéthylène de poids moléculaire ultra-élevé (UHMWPE).
