Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for switching the supply voltage of a SIM program loading device. Said SIM program loading device enables a program to be loaded into the program memory of a radio model from a program memory of a data terminal. The SIM program loading device is generally fed with a SIM supply voltage of 3V by the SIM interface of the radio model. If the supply voltage of the SIM interface is too low, the SIM program loading device cannot be operated. The SIM program loading device comprises, inter alia, a control circuit and a supply voltage selector switch. The supply voltage selector switch is connected to the SIM supply voltage on a first input and to an external supply voltage on a second input. If the control circuit measures a SIM supply voltage close to a first low threshold value, the output of the supply voltage selector switch is connected to the external supply voltage by means of a control input. If the measured SIM supply voltage is close to a second higher threshold value, the control circuit connects the output of the supply voltage selector switch to the SIM supply voltage. The output voltage of the supply voltage selector switch supplies the voltage level converter between the SIM interface and another interface.
