Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un procédé et sur un appareil de gestion de contenus, notamment de gestion de fichiers multimédias d'un centre multimédia domestique. Le procédé de gestion de contenus de l'invention consiste à: recevoir une table de données standard comportant un thème et comprenant au moins une métadonnée relative au thème; mettre en concordance la métadonnée relative au thème avec la métadonnée des contenus locaux et associer le thème au contenu local mis en concordance sous la forme d'une métadonnée si la métadonnée relative au thème correspond à la métadonnée d'un contenu local. L'invention permet à l'utilisateur de mettre à jour en temps opportun la métadonnée de l'information de l'événement relative au fichier de sorte que la métadonnée des fichiers utilisateurs soit de plus en plus abondante et que les fichiers multimédias deviennent plus faciles à identifier.
