Abstract
L'invention concerne des dispositifs de stabilisation vertébrale, des procédés et des systèmes qui comprennent un raccordement à ressort dans lequel un organe structurel est monté sur une fixation d'attache de la colonne vertébrale, et un élément souple est fixé à l'organe structurel le long d'une région de fixation de l'élément souple. La région de fixation est physiquement séparée d'une région active de l'élément souple. La région de fixation peut comprendre une région de soudage fabriquée au moyen du soudage d'une poutre en E à des températures allant jusqu'à 1000° F ou supérieures, la zone affectée par la chaleur et adjacente à la région de soudage étant physiquement séparée de la région active. L'élément souple peut être un ressort hélicoïdal comprenant des régions pliées adjacentes à ses spires d'extrémité (c'est-à-dire ses dernières spires), le matériau du ressort hélicoïdal s'éloignant de façon souple de la dernière spire puis s'inclinant de façon souple vers la dernière spire avant de se terminer près de la dernière spire. Un capuchon de soudage peut être configuré et dimensionné pour interagir avec l'élément souple, et l'organe structurel tel qu'un capuchon d'extrémité, de manière à positionner de façon sécurisée le capuchon d'extrémité. Le capuchon de soudage fonctionne afin d'éloigner du ressort le processus de soudage et l'énergie de soudage associée de manière à positionner le ressort de manière sûre par rapport au capuchon d'extrémité. Le capuchon de soudage fonctionne de manière à éloigner du ressort le processus de soudage et l'énergie de soudage associée, ce qui permettre d'éviter et/ou de réduire au minimum l'effet de recuit indésirable associé à la fixation / au soudage du ressort par rapport au capuchon d'extrémité. Des cannelures ou canaux d'alignement peuvent être réalisés pour aligner ou orienter le ressort par rapport aux capuchons d'extrémité ou capuchons de soudage.
