Abstract

Clamping system (13) comprising a wedge block (4) in which two clamping members (1) are slidably received. The clamping members act as wedges at relative movement to the clamping block, clampingly engaging the related article to be clamped such as a cable (2) . Between the clamping members and the clamping block a layer (5) of rubber elastic material is provided which is fixed to the clamping members and movable relative to the clamping block. A push/pull system (10) is disclosed, in which the clamping system is integrated in a structure (9) . In such a structure a further clamping system (23) can be provided to block the article relative to the structure during preparation of a further push/pull stroke of the first clamping system.
