Abstract
The invention relates to a control element comprising a circular area (1) having a touch-sensitive surface, and touch-sensitive (3a, 3b) surface areas which are separated from the circular surface area (1) and which are used as switching elements. The circular surface area (1) comprises an edge structure (2) which a user can detect, on the external edge thereof, and which can maintain the finger of a user on the touch-sensitive surface and can be guided during a displacement along the length thereof. Also, this prevents the finger of the user from slipping inadvertently on an undesired control area and avoids maloperations.
