Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé d’extraction de pétrole résiduel comprenant l’injection d’un agent de commande de profil par des puits horizontaux afin de bloquer le canal d’injection d’eau des couches de pétrole. Le procédé se sert d’un groupe de puits horizontaux disposés verticalement par rapport à la direction de la conduite d’écoulement principale pour ajouter un agent de commande de profil afin d’arrêter la canal d’injection d’eau dans les réseaux de remplissage et d’exploitation d’une structure géologique plane contenant du pétrole. Une fois que le canal d’eau initial est rempli avec l’agent de commande de profil horizontal, l’eau est forcée de changer sa direction afin d’évacuer le pétrole résiduel destiné à être exploité par des puits de production inférieurs.
