Abstract

Eine Glühstiftkerze (1) dient zur Anordnung in einer Kammer (21) einer Brennkraftmaschine. Die Glühstiftkerze (1) umfasst ein stabförmiges Heizelement (2) mit einer ersten stromführenden Schicht (4), einer zweiten stromführenden Schicht (5) und einer dazwischen liegenden Isolationsschicht (6). Die Isolationsschicht (6) hat eine im Inneren des stabförmigen Heizelementes (2) liegende Durchgangsöffnung (25), in der sich ein die stromführenden Schichten (4, 5) verbindender stromführender Verbindungsabschnitt befindet. Durch die innenliegende Anordnung des stromführenden Verbindungsabschnittes (26) ist auch bei einer äußeren Beschädigung des stabförmigen Heizelementes (2) die Funktionsfähigkeit der Glühstiftkerze (1) gewährleistet.
