Abstract
The invention relates to a method for synchronising an automatic transmission (14), to which a torque can be applied on the input side by a main drive motor (1) and by a supplementary electric motor/generator (2). The torques of the main drive motor (1) and the supplementary electric motor/generator (2) are overlaid on an input shaft of the automatic transmission (4). A control device (5) for the transmission input speed controls the supplementary electric motor/generator (2) and optionally also the main drive motor (1), in such a way that the adjusted gearbox speed (22) has a desired temporal course when no gear is selected. This permits the functional dependability of gear shift operations to be significantly improved in terms of preventing chatter and the meshing of teeth, which in addition to a positive influence on the ease of gear shifting and the wear of gearbox components, have positive effects on driving safety.
