Abstract

The invention relates to a method for applying multi-coloured inks to embroideries formed from one or more colours of thread, on almost any type of material or surface and in any possible design by means of sublimation, printing, dying, painting or screen printing on the embroidery. Using the aforementioned technique to transfer colour onto the embroidery, a three-dimensional appearance is obtained and the embroidery appears to have been produced with a large number of different coloured threads or with tinted threads which generate the three-dimensional effect and shading, which add depth to the images and which combine any number of different colours in the images, an effect which cannot be achieved with automatic embroidery machines, standard embroidery machines, schiffli machines, manual embroidery or other known embroidery methods.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION OF INKS ON EMBROIDERY THREADS

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The current processes to obtain multicolored embroidery with three-dimensional appearance on clothes, natural fabrics, plastics, vinyls, paper, leather and all kinds of fabrics, among others, is done by embroidering any design with threads of different colors, which are dyed by the manufacturer of the thread and limited to the capacity of embroidery machines to use a certain number of spools of thread of different color during the embroidery process.

In order to obtain embroideries with an endless variety of colors, shades, shadows, depth, in addition to giving dimension to embroidery, we can achieve a three-dimensional appearance obtaining with this perfections that resemble a natural effect and also a variety of infinite shades.

The current techniques of electronic or automatic embroidery, industrial or conventional embroidery and manual embroidery do not allow to obtain very fine variations in shades nor the perfection to give a natural effect.

The application of the present invention of which protection is requested is devised because it is a process that allows the application of infinite colors, variation of shades, shadows, depth and three-dimensional appearance in embroideries made on any embroidered material or surface without import the size of the embroidered mivos, nor the material on which they are embroidered. The present invention is mainly applied in the textile and clothing industry, decoration of all kinds, advertising items and in general without a limitation, it can be applied in all existing processes where there is an embroidery on which to transfer with different red processes and paint.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

It is a procedure in which a transfer or application of inks is made to an embroidery made previously with one or several colors of thread, this transfer is made by sublimation, stamping, painting, dyeing, or screen printing methods, where the design, this design is transferred to a sheet of Transfer paper (in the case of sublimed) or screen printing template (in the case of screen printing). The same design is embroidered separately on any possible material, the transfer paper is applied over the embroidery and sublimated by heat, or the screen printing template is applied over the embroidery, or the design is stamped, painted or stained on the embroidery. The transfer of colors by any of the aforementioned methods may be partially or totally on the embroidered surface, it could even exceed the limits of the embroidery on purpose and fall on the substrate outside the embroidery.

For screen printing, the design is embroidered in any color of thread or several colors including nuanced threads, the same design is made in screen printing and subsequently the screen printing template is passed to embroidery on any possible material.

The combination of colors that are applied on the design on the Transfer paper and through the screen printing template can be infinite and allows a very fine detail in the variation from one color to another in the design, which is not achieved with the Traditional methods of embroidering with different thread colors to give the shape and color to the design.

According to the system of color transfer by sublimation, stamping, dyeing, painting or screen printing, the following specific results are obtained:

The result of this invention for the sublimation or stamping technique is obtained by following the process or technique described below:

Step 1.- The first step will be to design, collect or select a motive

(design or model) on which you will have to work, and then take it to a design program and be able to retouch it, edit it or make some modification to it. Step 2.- Once the design has been selected, it must be imported from an embroidery stitch digitizer program (Punch software).

With our image on the screen we proceed to work on this design by digitizing embroidery stitches. Step 3.- After the scanning is finished, the program will have some specifications such as color changes, thread cuts, stitch length, stitch effects, machine stops etc. And it will take an automatic embroidery machine for serial reproduction. It should be mentioned that the selection of the materials for the reproduction of a design will be made freely and it will be possible to embroider on any possible material and any possible thread for its elaboration regardless of whether the materials are fabrics or fibers for confection or not. , as well as the threads may be made of synthetic, natural materials, manufactured with technology or by hand or by hand.

Step 4.- In this step we will make the preparation for the sublimate, separately using the same design, you will also have a touch-up, editing changes of colors or tones and modifications in general at the discretion and taste of the designer in the design program, then a print will be made with transfer inks on transfer paper or some other material that allows the color transfer step. The steps no. 4 and no. 5 will change for the case of screen printing where the process will be to take the embroidery to a screen printing octopus and similarly the designs will be transferred to the embroidery. Likewise, in the case of stamping the steps no. 4 and 5 will be done with the stamping equipment.

In the case of painting for steps no. 4 and 5 may be done by painting by hand or by hand directly on the embroidery with brushes or tools of manual or artisanal type, with painting equipment or with some equipment that has been developed in rudimentary form, of homemade type or industrial equipment.

1. Procedure for application of inks on embroidered threads using sublimation, screen-printed, painted, dyed or printed methods, characterized in that it is done partially or totally on any previously embroidered image on any type of possible material or surface, allowing appearances to be obtained three-dimensional and multicolored embroidery, with infinite shades and depth in the images.
