Description

LOCKING SET FOR A BOTTLE SAFETY AND RE-CLOSING SYSTEM
The present description refers to a patent of invention for a novel locking system for bottles, especially bottles for beverage, which use dropping devices to dose the exit of liquids, formed by a set of overcap and internal cap, fixed between them in an extremely efficient way, so to obtain a cap which will facilitate the actuation of said closing set over the detachment of pre-band or seal with the cylindrical glove of the mouth of the bottle, thus allowing the identification of undue openings of the bottle and also bringing in considerable improvements for later re-closings with the dropping device.
STATE OF THE ART
Bottles provided with internal dropping dosifiers, called spilling odies, are known, through which, after the package has been initially opened, the liquid may be gradually released, being thus provided with a valve to avoid the package to be refilled. Said bottles are provided with closing including a sealing system, formed from weakening points between the cap and the glove fixed to the mouth of the bottle, so that, when the cap is turned, a ring is released, indicating that the bottle was initially opened and denouncing, be it the case, non-authorized openings. Although they fulfill their purpose, such closings may present problems, especially due to the conventional fitting means practiced for coupling, generally practiced in axial sense between the overcap and the internal cap, which cannot offer to the set the appropriate structure for unscrewing. This occurs because there may be a slight clearance for turning to release the seal ring, also damaging later steps to re-close the bottle, made from the internal cap, screwed to the dropping device. OBJECT OF THE PATENT With the purpose to offer better endurance to the set, we projected the closing at issue, which offers efficient coupling between the overcap/seal band sets (molded as a single piece) and internal cap/glove (molded as a single piece).
With that purpose, the designed structure for the project includes a sequence of wings followed below by ring-shaped recesses, obtained along the internal face of the skirt of the overcap, forming items corresponding to wings followed by ring-shaped ledges obtained on the outside face of the skirt of the internal cap, so that, through its trapezoidal configuration, wings may form a guide to allow fitting and locking by facing in the axial sense between the overcap and the internal cap. Locking is supported by the fitting between ring-shaped recesses and ledges and also by notches especially made with the edges in agreement to the overcap (internal edge) and internal cap (outside edge).
Said construction facilitates the axial fitting of the above sets forming the cap, avoiding rotation between the overcap and the internal cap, giving them the required endurance to avoid the seal band to be torn and later allow more efficient re-closing. Finally, the seal band surrounding the lower edge of the overcap has a series of teeth along the internal face, being said teeth interspersed to teeth incorporated from a step as obtained on the outside face of the cylindrical glove. The teeth have quadrangular section and make it easier to detach the band to be torn in three points, obtained from vertical cuttings.
Having been generally explained, the set is now better detailed by means of the attached figures, in which we can see:
Figure 1 - exploded perspective view of the set of closing and locking. In this view, the overcap is partially cut, so to show the internal face of its skirt, in which, from its higher closing wall, the trapezoidal wings are incorporated, followed by ring-shaped recesses projecting up to its lower edge. Arrows indicate the facing of said wings to the inverted wings as obtained on the outside face of the internal cap, being said wings followed by ledges corresponding to the upper recesses. In the cylindrical glove, in its step, teeth are shown in quadrangular section, interspersed to the teeth of the band, which is detached and torn into three segments. Figure 2 - it schematically shows the facing between the wings for the perfect fitting of the overcap/seal band and internal cap/cylindrical glove sets. In accordance to the attached drawings, the "LOCKING SET FOR A BOTTLE SAFETY AND RE-CLOSING SYSTEM" object of the present application for a patent of invention constitutes a closing set for bottles provided with a system for the gradual exit of liquid by a dropping or spreading device, being the closing formed by an overcap (1 ) provided with an upper notched edge (2) limiting the upper wall (3), from which the skirt (4) is projected, which internal face incorporates a series of vertical wings (5), which are radially positioned within regular spaces, being said wings (5) in trapezoidal configuration, followed by ring-shaped recesses (6), also located under appropriate spacing, which prolong up to the lower edge of the skirt (4) of said overcap (1 ). The overcap (1 ) has, on its lower edge, a seal band (7) limited by a weakened line (8), with said seal band (7) incorporating, in its internal face, a series of regularly spaced teeth (9) in quadrangular section. The band (7) may be torn by means of vertical cuttings into three segments (7a), thus completing the overcap/seal band set. Said set is solidary to a second set formed by an internal cap (10) with an also notched upper edge (11) in agreement to the edge (2) of the overcap (1). Said internal cap (10) incorporates, on the outside face of its skirt (12), a series of wings (13) also in trapezoidal configuration, interspersed but inverted over the wings (5) of the overcap (1). The internal cap (10) also has a series of ring-shaped notches (14) which are coincident to the ring-shaped recesses (6) of the overcap (1 ).
The internal cap (10) is incorporated, by a weakened line (15), to a cylindrical glove (16), which is duly fixed by axial projections and ferule, or other appropriate means, to corresponding grooves and channels made on the mouth of the bottle, remaining duly locked and receiving the dropping device (D), equally fixed by appropriate means.
Said glove (16) has a surrounding upper step (17), from which a series of teeth (18), also in quadrangular section, are incorporated, corresponding and interspersed to the teeth (9) of the seal band (7). The set forming the overcap/seal band is molded in a single piece, just like the set forming the internal cap/cylindrical glove, and the fitting between the wings (5) and (13) in inverted configuration causes a kind of a guide, promoting facing between the items for axial coupling between the overcap (1) and the internal cap (10), which form the cap (T) as properly said. Locking is supported by the fitting between ring-shaped recesses (6) and ledges (14) and facilitated by the notches (2) and (11) in agreement of their upper edges.
Upon coupling, the teeth (9) of the seal band (7) and the teeth (18) of the step (17) of the cylindrical glove (16) are interspersed, so that, upon unscrewing, by turning from the cap (T), there is an initial disruption, by the weakened line (15) between the internal cap (10) and the cylindrical glove (16), following the turning until the teeth (9) and (18) are locked, not allowing the movement.
When turning continues, the weakened line (8) of the lower edge of the overcap (1 ) is torn, so that the seal band (7) detaches, breaking into three segments (7a), indicating that the bottle was opened, and the fractioning guaranteed by the quadrangular configuration of said perfectly fitted teeth
(9) and (18) just allows the weakened line to be torn.
The axial coupling between the overcap (1) and the internal cap (10) by its corresponding fitting elements as their notched edges (2) and (11), wings (5) and (13), and ring-shaped recesses (6) and ledges (14) locked under pressure guarantee remarkable endurance to the formed cap (T), forbidding the turning between said elements (1) and (10) upon unscrewing, facilitating continuous re-closing.
