Abstract

A merchant-data capture system has an interface adapted to capture merchant information, information storage for receiving and maintaining the merchant information captured using the interface, a profile library that preferably stores editable profÊle(s) for use in entering data, and a processor adapted to manage the mentioned other components, and to submit the merchant information to at least one external system. Tables containing information used in processing the merchant information, including for example tables of high-risk industries, of bank terminals, etc., are provided, and can be edited in real time. Workgroups of users can be constructed and changed by an administrator as needed, with varying levels of authorization for different members.
